Locals love to hang out at the Community Cafe for breakfast and lunch, but tourists are welcome too! And it’s one of my favorites. It’s a great place to stop for breakfast before a day of wine tasting. They even have box lunches for a Wine Country picnic you can order 24 hours in advance!
875 West Napa St
Breakfast and Lunch daily, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Watch for the sign on the left about a mile past the Plaza, just before the big bend to the right on West Napa Street. Parking is in back with two accessible spaces and a perfectly flat approach through the back entrance.
We stopped at the counter to peruse the menu and place our order. The fare runs from the traditional to gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. The food here is really delicious, made from scratch with fresh ingredients, and the menu changes with the seasons. I’ve enjoyed more great breakfasts and lunches here than I can count!
The tables were well spaced in the light and bright dining room—a great place for a leisurely meal or a bite on the run.
This time I had Tuna Arugula Salad with blue cheese crumbles and Kalamata olives. Yum! The tuna salad is special.
The cafe is whimsically and tastefully decorated.
Even the accessible restrooms are brightened with attractive touches.
Last summer we came here with our Yellow Labrador, Gulliver. The dog friendly route to the patio was clearly marked and protected from auto traffic. We still needed to order from the counter so Chip could stay with Gulliver on the patio while I went back inside directly from the patio.
The owner served our breakfast herself. You’ll see Margie in the kitchen taking orders and serving food. The great pride she takes in her cafe really shows.
Breakfast, lunch, coffee or tea, you will be glad that you stopped at Community Cafe!
